For the second time in four years Birmingham will be hosting the CABE urban design summer school from 11th - 14th July. The choice of Birmingham recognises the tremendous transformation the city has achieved through good design as well as the huge challenges it still faces.
The summer school team are working on a selection of inspiring key-note speakers for the school, as well as interesting workshop leaders and an experience group of facilitators. The summer school also offers you an opportunity to network with colleagues working on the built environment in the UK and throughout the world. You will learn, debate and work alongside architects, planners, urban designers, landscape designers, traffic engineers, regenerators and community leaders.
Acclaimed Birmingham-based architecture centre MADE will be leading the delivery of the summer school this year. Already there is quite a buzz in the city and the region about hosting the school and a determination to make it the best ever.
