Launched in January 2010 the Sustainable Built Environment Forum has its second meeting on 14th April 2010 that brings together a group of interested parties gathered from both the public and the private sector – all of whom are involved in the sustainable built environment in the West Midlands.
Keynote speakers at this forum include Carillion on best practice company sustainability and WSP on a sustainable construction best practice case study.
Additional to this we hope to have a lively debate on the effects that Climate Change may have on Schools at a specialist interim meeting in late June 2010 and another full Forum is planned for July 2010 where the results of the interim meeting will be reported.
Sustainability and the low carbon agenda , in the built environment affects all aspects of our work now, and the current aim is to integrate what is learnt from the Forum into all aspects of WMCCEs activities for the foreseeable future – concentrating on gathering and disseminating good practice within the industry.
The Forum is open to anybody interested and passionate about the subject , particularly practitioners with new or innovative sustainable technologies to bring to the Forum with intention to meet on a 3 monthly cycle.
