Celebrating Construction is organised by The West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence (WMCCE), Birmingham City Council’s Building Consultancy Service, and the Chartered Institute of Building’s (CIOB) West Midlands Branch, and provides recognition of the professionalism, excellence and innovation that lies at the heart of the West Midlands Construction Industry. The next event is at the ICC, Birmingham on Friday, 30th April 2010.

The event incorporates two sets of awards:

• The Built in Quality Awards where winners have been chosen from projects nominated by building control surveyors across the WM7 region (Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton)
• The WMCCE Constructing Excellence Awards which are open to both public and private sector organisations based in the West Midlands and whose business is construction related.

Applications for the WMCCE Constructing Excellence Awards closed on 30th November 2009.
