KPI Launch: KPI LaunchRepresentatives from WMCCE, Constructing Excellence, the Centre for Construction Innovation North West (CCINW), Amazia and Carillion came together last month to present the annual launch of the UK Construction Industry KPI’s.

The event, held at Wolverhampton Science Park, demonstrated the impact of the use of measuring performance in the industry with examples of companies doing well from using KPI’s throughout the recession. Attendees were able to compare the performance of their company against industry leaders and discover whether client satisfaction is improving and whether key themes, such as supply chain management, off-site fabrication and partnering, are making a difference.

The event saw Martin Print, Director of Amazia present on the Construction Industry KPI’s Report 2009 and speak about how the industry is changing. Mark Griffin, Project Manager from Carillion also did a presentation on the new Birmingham Library project, which is also a WMCCE Demonstration Project*.

Attendees of the KPI launch included local authorities, contractors, small and medium sized enterprises and large organisations.
