The Business Improvement Programme completed the year end at 31st March with all of its targets being achieved – 127 business assists were claimed for 09/10.
After a slow start because of issues to do with the economy, there was an enormous amount of activity during the quarter January – March to enable the targets to be met. The internal delivery team worked extremely hard, to not only meet the numbers required , but to ensure that the budget was used effectively. A lot of the delivery partner team were rallied into action to provide the necessary capacity to deliver all of the assists during the quarter.
A key to success has been through the pursuance of Supply Chains via larger contractor groups such as FIIS (Find it in Sandwell), Mansell and GF Tomlinson. There are plans to work up during this year several others such as Stepnell, Kier, Carillion and Morgan Ashurst.
