This free seminar will provide you with an opportunity to hear about a number of best practice solutions you should adopt which will positively influence the way you procure works and services.
Fair Payment down the supply chain for works properly carried out has long been an objective of the government. As from the start of financial year 2010/11 contractual provisions have been introduced which should be incorporated into all new projects entering procurement. These provisions introduce defined payment periods for Tier 1 through to Tier 3 and a payment performance KPI which will provide clients with a greater visibility of payment performance below Tier 1 for the first time.
Achieving Excellence in Construction (AEC) was introduced to improve the performance of the government as a client of the construction industry. It provides guidance on six key aspects of construction procurement, such as reduction of financial and decision-making approval chains, the adoption of performance measurement indicators, risk management etc. Through implementing AEC client organisations’ project performance will significantly improve in terms of delivery to time and budget.
