WMCCE Launches Best Practice "Tick" Campaign

26th May 2010

Tick Campaign - BucknallTick Campaign - BucknallCelebrating Construction 2010 and the West Midlands Constructing Excellence Awards saw the launch of the WMCCE Best Practice Campaign, symbolised by a red "tick", seen here (right) being held by David Bucknall, Chairman of WMCCE.

Speaking at the Awards Ceremony, David Bucknall emphasised the importance of Best Practice in Construction, particularly if our industry is to survive economic bad times and come out stronger the other side.

By representing Best Practice in the West Midlands Construction Industry, the tick is designed to raise awareness that Best Practice can deliver business benefits, as epitomised by this year's West Midlands Constructing Excellence Awards. Each winner received a glass trophy, marked with the tick to show that they had achieved excellence.

Over the coming months, further marketing of the tick will take place (including a stand at the Built Environment Solutions & Technologies event at the NEC, Birmingham from 17-20 October 2010), so that with time it becomes the symbol of Best Practice.

Further information on the Campaign and the Awards can be found on WMCCE's special Best Practice website.

Celebrating Construction 2010 is a partnership between WMCCE, Birmingham City Council and CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building), incorporating the annual Built in Quality Awards and the WMCCE Constructing Excellence Awards.
