Mounting legislation and client demands to demonstrate effective corporate responsibility requires that contractors and their clients must work together in long-term relationships to reduce defects, accidents, waste, pollution, energy & resource use and carbon footprints. The way we all manage these aspects of our businesses now and in the future will have a major impact on our ability to win work and deliver projects.
An increasing number of contractors are working towards certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or BS OHSAS 18001 - the 'gold standards' for quality, environmental and health & safety performance. In our drive for excellence, we recognise the need to help everyone reach the level of all-round corporate responsibility embodied in these standards and put everyone in the best position when completing PQQs for all the major contractors and clients.
How does it work?
There are two combined elements. The first is a Fast-Track-IMS Toolkit accessed securely via the Internet. The second is active participation with fellow supply chain companies in seven group workshops held monthly by ISYS. The half day workshops are known for being enjoyable but demanding and are attended by management representative(s) responsible for delivering and managing the Fast-Track-IMS programme back in your company.
The online Toolkit provides step-by-step guidance, examples, document templates, and a web forum to help you discuss issues day-to-day online, request assistance and upload evidence to demonstrate your achievement of programme milestones. Companies share experiences and solutions with eachother and with ISYS and learn how sustainability drivers are radically re-shaping market conditions.
ISYS facilitators and online-mentors will track your company’s progress and give close support throughout the Fast-Track-IMS programme. The ISYS facilitators have a proven track record. They will be able to pinpoint any difficulties – including any serious flaws in your commitment!
