As part of our ongoing series of member events we are delighted to inform you that we have arranged for 3 guest speakers to deliver presentations to members, there will also be plenty of time to network and develop local business contacts from the construction industry.

Presentation 1 - Southwater Regeneration in Telford by Kate Turner, Programme Manager - Telford & Wrekin Council
Kate will deliver a presentation on the ambitious £250 million Southwater Development which is set to transform Telford Town Centre running from the existing  Shopping Centre down to The International Centre. This scheme will create a vibrant, sustainable heart for Telford incorporating improved cultural, leisure and event facilities and new commercial and residential developments. Kate will provide SCE Members with an overview of the project, the timescales for the development taking place and how this scheme ties in with Telford & Wrekin Councils key regeneration objectives.

Presentation 2 - Hanlo Ltd: Offsite Building System by Mike Jaehrig – Hanlo
Mike Jaehrig will be delivering a presentation on the Hanlo German offsite housing system which is a sustainable, energy-efficient timber framed housing system providing a complete turnkey solution for modern homes. Manufactured in the Germany, the housing components are shipped to site and can be erected by a dedicated team and fitted out to a clients own bespoke requirements.

Presentation 3 - Shropshire Construction Training Group (SCTG) by David English, Chairman - SCTG
David English will deliver a presentation to SCE members on the services available through Shropshire Construction Training Group, a long established ‘not for profit’ independent training organisation primarily funded through ConstuctionSkills. He will explain about how the Group works; its training opportunities, networking meetings and new company development initiatives.

We have arranged to have access to the meeting room until 11.30am so that attendees can carry on networking and have the opportunity to continue business discussions should they wish to.
