WMCCE calls on innovative construction companies to take centre stage

17th Aug 2010

The West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence (WMCCE) is offering 20 innovative SMEs in the construction sector the opportunity to take a low cost place at the industry event of the year. The BEST show, formerly Interbuild, will take place at the NEC between 18th and 20th October.

The WMCCE stand will be part of the dedicated Tomorrow’s World exhibition within the BEST show and is open to all burgeoning construction companies with a keen focus on innovation. It will demonstrate new and emerging technologies that help tackle the biggest challenges facing the built environment – from climate change to regulatory issues, energy conservation to waste minimisation and, with WMCCE’s support, is an opportunity to put some of the region’s most forward thinking construction companies in the spotlight.

Phil Wilson, Executive Director at WMCCE, comments:

“Our support for SMEs at last year’s Interbuild worked very effectively for the companies involved and we’ve had positive feedback about the contacts it generated and work it has since secured. In the current climate, business development is critical, particularly for those companies who are trying to encourage the adoption of new construction techniques and services.

“As a sector, we must not allow the recession to hold back innovation and new product development and that’s why we want to support these companies at what promises to be one of best networking opportunities of the year.”

Anyone wishing to take a subsidised place at this year’s BEST event should contact Paul Hackney, Project Coordinator at WMCCE on 0121 688 4048.
