Network Rail is
rebuilding New Street station – a project which will generate over £2bn in
transport and wider economic benefits for the region.
The project was started in April 2010 – to redevelop the 1960s-designed
station, which is now used by more than double the number of passengers it was
built for (140,000 passengers use the station each day).
The build will be delivered in phases, so there are still plenty of
opportunities for local businesses to find work on the project.
To make supplying to the project easy, Network Rail lists all the opportunities
as they come up on the website newstreetnewstart.co.uk
- and information on how to express an interest in the works packages. You’ll
also find these opportunities on finditinbirmingham as they arise.
