The delegation takes place from 29th Sept to 1st Oct 2010 and will include:

  • Meeting experts at the world-leading Passivhaus Institut, Darmstadt
  • Hands-on tour of the Pro Clima training facility in Schwetzingen
  • Visiting a 1920/30s housing estate retrofitted to near-Passivhaus standard
  • Guided tours of Passivhaus standard new-build and retrofit projects by Frankfurt City Council

 

  • MADE is organising this delegation as part of its committment to the Skills for Climate Change Project.
  • The Skills for Climate Change Project is led by Birmingham Metropolitan College and funded by the European Social Fund (ESF). The project brings together a number of the West Midlands region's leading environmental organisations to address the skills required to reduce CO2 emissions from existing buildings.

    This is your opportunity to join members of the Skills for Climate Change Project on a study tour to Germany and learn more about Passivhaus technology in new-build and retrofit developments.

    The cost of the delegation will be £950 +VAT per person, discounts are available for voluntary organisations and SMEs. The price includes travel, accommodation, tours and meals but excludes insurance.
