Procurement, Frameworks and Partnerships

Partnering is…"an integrated teamworking approach to achieve better value for all partners by reducing duplication and waste of resources, based on

  • mutual objectives,
  • a robust approach to issue resolution and
  • a proactive approach to measurable continuous improvement."

Partnering is a resource intensive process that delivers considerable enhanced value if implemented correctly. It can be driven by the adoption of a Partnering Contract (such as PPC2000). However, there may still be a need to address the cultural aspects of integrating a number of organisations and their management & staff in order to obtain the optimum benefits for all partners.

Contractual requirements to trust each other and to act for the benefit of the project (rather than for the short term interests of their own organisation) should be underpinned by cultural changes from directors through management to on-the-tools staff.

WMCCE has the support from experienced delivery partners to deliver business analysis and improvement processes covering all aspects of partnering and integrated teamworking in capital projects and in term contracts.
