The West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence

driving Best Practice in the Construction Industry

Our key areas of activity are around Improvement and Support, Sustainability, Skills and Knowledge Exchange.

New WMCCE Website

On the 14th of November WMCCE launched its new website. Unfortunately, we sent out a newsletter a few days previously which contained links to the old website. If you have reached this page by following links from that newsletter, or by using bookmarks or links from other sites, we are sorry. Please use the search box on the right or the menus and links boxes on this page to find the content you are interested in.

Opportunities

This page carries links to the latest information on OJEU tenders and on London 2012, through the CompeteFor and LOCOG sites. It also carries Sector Briefing Information on London 2012, prepared on behalf of Advantage West Midlands.

The CompeteFor page allows you to browse construction related opportunities before being linked through to the CompeteFor site.

Best Practice (Constructing Excellence) Clubs

A Constructing Excellence Club is a forum for individuals to learn about the principles of Best Practice, while creating a culture and local support network of continuous improvement. It offers the opportunity for an informal group of highly developed, innovative people to learn from each other, share that knowledge, and ultimately improve their business.

Procurement

Procurement is often seen as a source of "blockage", particularly during a recession, when it can seem to be too bureaucratic and unwieldly:

Improvement & Efficiency

The foundation of Improvement and Efficiency in the Public Sector and the Private Sector is the Clients' Commitments.
